There is no single Halifax house price
People ask what a house move costs because they want a number before they call. An honest answer is that the number comes from your two addresses. A compact terrace in King Cross with a clear front and boxes already packed is a different day’s work from a full family house in Skircoat Green where the van stops down the hill and the loft is still full. Publishing one figure would be wrong for most of the people reading it.

The size of the home
Bedroom count is a starting point and a poor finish. A two-bedroom house with books, a garage and a shed can outweigh a larger house that was already half empty. We ask what is in each room, whether beds and wardrobes need taking apart, and whether the garden is coming. If you forget the garage, the quote will not match the day.
Access on Halifax hills
Halifax has streets where the front door is up steps from the pavement and the landing turns sharply. Pellon, Southowram and the town centre all throw up different versions of the same problem. A long carry from the nearest place a van can wait adds time at both ends. Tell us about permit bays, school-time parking and any note from a solicitor about keys arriving late.
